There is good news for NAMO Bharat passengers. For the convenience of passengers, NCRTC has reduced the fare of premium class coaches of Namo Bharat drastically. Now passengers will have to pay only 20 percent extra fare in premium coaches as compared to standard coaches. Earlier passengers had to pay 50 percent extra fare for this.
Namo Bharat said that passengers can now travel in premium class coaches by paying only 20% extra on the standard fare and also avail premium lounge facilities. The premium class fare is now only 1.2 times the standard ticket, making it an affordable option.
What is the fare of Namo Bharat?
This marginal difference in fare will ensure better comfort, assured seating, special amenities and peaceful travel experience for the passengers, which will prove beneficial for both daily and long distance travellers. For example, if a passenger travels from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South, he will have to pay a fare of Rs 150 in standard coach and Rs 180 in premium coach.
The route is 55 km long
Currently, NaMo Bharat trains operate on a 55-km-long route, covering 11 stations: New Ashok Nagar, Anand Vihar, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, and Meerut South. Trial runs are underway on the remaining corridor, and the entire 82-km-long route, including the Meerut Metro section, is targeted to be operational this year.
Namo can do office work at Indian stations
