Navya Scheme 2025: Navya Yojana is a major initiative of the government, which will make girls skilled as well as increase their confidence. The central government has launched a new scheme to make the daughters of the country self-reliant and skilled. The name of this scheme is ‘Navya’. This scheme has been brought especially for girls aged 16 to 18 years. Its purpose is to train them in such works which till now were generally considered to be associated with boys or men.

The pilot project is implemented in 27 districts of 9 states

The Navya Yojana was launched on 24 June from Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. This is a pilot project, which has currently been started in 27 districts of 9 states. These districts also include those areas which are called ‘aspirational districts’, i.e. where more help is needed socially and economically.

Daughters will be taught new age skills

Under the Navya Yojana, girls will be taught such professional skills which are in great demand in today’s time. Training will be given in modern skills like graphics designing, drone assembling, mobile repairing, solar panel installation, CCTV installation, smartphone technician work and professional makeup artist.

Started under Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme

Navya Yojana has been jointly launched by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This is a special effort linked to the vision of Developed India 2047. Under this, girls will be given commercial training so that they can become self-reliant and get better employment opportunities in the future.

Which girls will get the benefit of this scheme?

The benefit of this scheme will be available only to those girls who have passed at least 10th standard and whose age is between 16 to 18 years. That is, girls who take the first step towards making a career after school can get a big benefit from this scheme.

7 hours special training module prepared

For this scheme, the government has prepared a special training module of 7 hours. It will not only provide technical training but will also provide information on communication skills, understanding income and expenditure, how to behave in the workplace, and legal rights like POSH and POCSO, so that girls can be fully prepared for professional life.

Currently waiting for the application process

The official process of application for this scheme has not been announced yet. It is likely that applications will be invited through the website of the Ministry of Women and Child Development or the Ministry of Skill Development or from a new portal. As soon as the government shares its information, the application process can be started on it.

Why is this scheme special?

Because this is not just a plan to provide training, but it is an attempt to change the mindset. Even today, in many places, daughters are considered limited to only traditional jobs. Navya Yojana is trying to break that mindset, so that daughters can become anything from graphic designers to drone technicians.
