New Delhi. The sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express train is going to be launched soon. This train is going to start on many important routes of the country, including the Delhi-Howrah route.

The New Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper will be the fastest train on this route. Its maximum speed will be 160 kilometers per hour. Vande Bharat Sleeper will cover the 1449-kilometer distance between Delhi and Howrah in 15 hours. Rajdhani Express and Duronto take 17 hours to cover the same distance. However, the railways have not yet given any official information about the operation of the Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. But, a Times of India report has quoted sources as saying that this train will soon be on the tracks.

It is worth noting that Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav unveiled the Vande Bharat Sleeper Train in September 2024. This 16 coach train will be fully AC. Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will have many new facilities. Such as sensor activated interconnecting doors have been installed. Touch-free bio-vacuum toilets and talk-back units have been installed. First class coupes will have stairs and flight-style attendant buttons for easy access to the upper berth. Anti-collision system ‘Kavach’ and anti-climbing technology have also been installed to prevent train accidents.

New Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Fare

Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have a total of 16 coaches, including 11 AC third tier, 4 AC second tier and 1 first class AC coach. The railways have not yet given any official information about the fare, but sources say that the estimated fare of AC 3-tier will be Rs 3 thousand, AC 2-tier will be Rs 4 thousand, and first class AC will be Rs 5100.

New Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Time Table

The Vande Bharat Sleeper train running between Delhi and Howrah is expected to leave New Delhi (NDLS) at 5 pm (17:00). It will reach Howrah at 8 am (08:00) the next day. Similarly, the Vande Bharat Sleeper train running between Howrah and Delhi will leave Howrah at 5 pm and reach New Delhi at 8 am the next day.

There is a plan to run the Delhi-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper train via Gaya. From Delhi, it will reach Howrah via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Junction, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Gaya, Dhanbad and Asansol.
