A total of three access control lanes have been created inside the railway station premises, which will be only for dropping passengers.

If you are also going to New Delhi Railway Station to pick up or drop off someone in your car, then you should get information about the new parking rules beforehand. To improve the parking system on the Ajmeri Gate side of New Delhi Railway Station, the access-control system has now come into effect from today i.e. 25 June. Its purpose is to prevent unnecessary crowd and disorderly parking during drop-off and pickup. Vehicles coming to the railway station to drop off passengers will now be able to park in the parking lot for only eight minutes. Parking the vehicle for more than this may result in a fine and the vehicle can also be confiscated.

Only these vehicles will go inside the station

Under the new access controlled system, only drop-off vehicles will enter the railway station premises. Vehicles coming for pickup, which often have to wait for a longer time, will be able to park only in the general or VIP parking located inside or nearby the station. A fixed fee will be charged for parking vehicles for a long time in these parking areas.
Three lanes for drop off

A total of three access control lanes have been built inside the railway station premises, which will be used only for disembarking passengers. They will not be used to pick up passengers. Parking charges can be paid in two ways. The charge will be deducted from the FASTag installed in the vehicle or a parking receipt can be taken from the kiosk at the entry of the pick-and-drop lane.

If you want to stay longer, use general parking

Vehicles that have to stop at the station for a longer period to pick up passengers can use the general or VIP parking available in the station premises. Charges will be levied at these places based on time, information about which can be obtained at the parking entrance.
