Pahalgam Terror Attack: After the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, Air India has taken a big decision.

The Tata Group airline company has removed all cancellation and reschedule charges for passengers traveling to and from Srinagar and this provision will remain on tickets booked for travel till 30 April 2025. At the same time, for today, 23 April, Air India has also announced two additional flights from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai. Tata’s airline company has given full details on X (formerly Twitter).

Two big decisions of Air India

Air India tweeted that two additional flights will operate from Srinagar to Delhi and Mumbai today. Talking about the timings, the flight from Srinagar to Delhi is at 11:30 AM and the flight from Srinagar to Mumbai is at 12 noon. Their bookings have now opened. The schedules of the rest of the flights will remain the same as before. Cancellation and reschedule charges have been waived off on flights to and from Srinagar for bookings till the end of April. For assistance, the airline has requested passengers to contact 011 69329333 or 011 69329999.

Air India Express also announced

Like Air India, Air India Express has also waived off cancellation and rescheduling charges for flights booked till April 30. Passengers can cancel or modify their bookings by visiting the airline’s official website or through WhatsApp assistant +91 63600 12345.

Who took responsibility for the terrorist attack?

A group of terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) attacked a group of tourists in Baisran Valley in Pahalgam, south Kashmir, killing 28 people and injuring several others. The group called The Resistance Front claimed responsibility for the attack in a social media post. The post also included a photo of one of the injured tourists. The attack began around 2:30 pm on Tuesday when the tourists were riding horses in the grasslands of Bainsaram. Home Minister Amit Shah informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the attack and he is reaching Srinagar. Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Shah have assured strict action against the terrorists.
