Patna: There is a good news for Patna residents. Patna residents were waiting for a long time for the metro to run, now that wait can end. Preparations are underway to run the metro train in Patna from August 15.
In the first phase, the metro can run between New Patliputra Bus Terminal (ISBT) and Bhootnath. Patna and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation are doing this work together. However, no official information has been given about this yet. In the initial phase, a distance of about three kilometers will be covered.
Metro may start in Patna from 15th August
Preparations for running the metro in Patna are going on at a fast pace. It is expected that people will get the facility of metro from 15th August. Sources have revealed that if the metro starts from 15th August, then the metro will run only between ISBT and Bhootnath. This distance is about three kilometers. But, Patna Metro Rail Corporation has said that there is no confirmed information about this. According to them, ‘There is no official information in this regard.’
Finishing work is progressing rapidly at Bhootnath and Zero Mile stations
ISBT metro station is being built near New Patliputra Bus Terminal. The station has not been connected to the metro line yet. Finishing work is going on at a fast pace at Bhootnath and Zero Mile stations. Both these stations have been brought ready in advance.
The station building is being constructed at ISBT. The work of Malahi Pakadi station is almost complete. Finishing work is going on there. Due to the line not being connected beyond Bhootnath, there may be difficulty in taking the metro to there.
Khemnichak station is an interchange station
Khemnichak station is an interchange station. From here the lines go in two different directions. One line goes towards Mithapur and the other towards Malahi Pakadi. But, no line has been connected between Bhootnath station and Khemnichak yet. The work of the line going to ISBT crossing the National Highway ahead of Zero Mile station is also still pending.
