public holiday- The month of May will begin with a holiday. The Punjab government has declared a holiday on Thursday, May 1.
The state government has declared a gazetted holiday on this day in view of Labor Day. On this day, all schools, colleges and other educational institutions, government offices across Punjab will remain closed.
Let us tell you that there were 7 gazetted holidays in the month of April, while there are only two gazetted holidays in the month of May. The first holiday is coming on Thursday, May 1, while the second holiday is on May 30, this day is the martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, due to which the government has declared a holiday.
