Rahul Gandhi questions police action

Party spokesperson Sambit Patra reiterated the BJP’s demand that Gandhi apologise for his statements made inside Parliament.
Patra also rejected the allegation that the Home Minister directly controlled operational decisions during crowd-control situations.
According to him, such decisions are taken by local administrative authorities, including the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), based on the situation on the ground.
He further argued that Rahul Gandhi had been given adequate opportunity to participate in the Lok Sabha proceedings and accused the Congress leader of attempting to mislead the public.
