Railway Recruitment 2025: The central government is preparing to recruit on a large scale in the Indian Railways this year . Railway Recruitment Boards are conducting large-scale recruitment drives to fill various vacant posts .
Railway Recruitment Board ( RRB) has issued more than 9,000 appointment letters in the first quarter. According to the Ministry of Railways, Indian Railways will appoint more than 50,000 candidates in the financial year 2025-26. This information has been given by the Ministry of Railways in an official statement issued on Wednesday (July 9 ) .
The Railway Ministry said in a press note, ” Railway Recruitment Boards ( RRBs ) have conducted Computer Based Tests ( CBTs ) for more than 1.86 crore candidates by issuing seven different notifications in respect of 55,197 vacant posts from November 2024. ”
The press note further said, ” This will enable the Railway Recruitment Board to recruit more than 50,000 candidates in the financial year 2025-26 . More than 9,000 appointment letters have been issued by RRBs in the first quarter of this financial year . ”
The aim of these recruitment exams is to fill a total of 55,197 posts. Most of these will be filled in the current financial year. Conducting exams for such a large number of candidates is a huge task . It requires detailed planning and coordination.
The Railway Ministry said that conducting CBT for RRB exam is a very big process. It requires a lot of planning and coordination. The press note said that RRB has recently taken the initiative to allocate exam centers close to the residence of the candidates. In this, special priority has been given to women and Divyangjan .
This requires more preparation to enlist more exam centers and conduct the examination in a fair and transparent manner. The ministry said that as per its published annual calendar , RRB has issued 12 notifications for 1,08,324 recruitments from 2024. More than 50,000 appointments will be made in the next financial year 2026-27.
Elaborating on the steps taken to enhance the fairness of railway recruitment exams , the Railway Ministry said, ” For the first time in an examination of such a large scale, E – KYC based Aadhaar authentication has been used to authenticate the identity of candidates . The success rate has been more than 95%. ”
The press note said, ” To eliminate the possibility of cheating through electronic devices , 100% jammers are now being deployed at all RRB exam centers. ” Let us tell you that the youth of the country were waiting for the recruitment in railways for a long time . This news is a relief for them.
