The new note will be of light green and yellow colour
According to RBI, the new note will be of light green and yellow colour. Its size will be 63mm x 129mm. But now you will not see the picture of Konark Sun Temple on the back of the note, instead you will see the photo of Ellora caves. Which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and shows the rich cultural heritage of India. Apart from this, you will see 20 rupees written in a floral pattern on both sides. The most special thing in this is that it will also be shown in Devanagari script. Words like RBI, Bharat, India and 20 will also be added to this note.
What will be on the front side of the note
The 20 rupee note will have Mahatma Gandhi’s picture on the front, Ashoka Pillar symbol, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan logo. Along with this, RBI governor’s signature, guarantee clause and RBI logo will be included as before along with the value of the note in Indian languages. On this, RBI has clearly said that the old 20 rupee notes will remain valid. They will not be withdrawn. They will continue to be valid along with the new notes.
The problem of fake notes can be reduced
