The country’s banking regulator, Reserve Bank of India, has issued a major order regarding Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes. Due to which there is an atmosphere of panic in all the banks of the country. The instructions issued by RBI regarding both the notes have been asked to be implemented as soon as possible. Therefore, RBI has also issued a circular to all the banks. RBI instructions to banks

The Reserve Bank of India on Monday asked banks to ensure that 100 and 200 rupee notes also come out of ATMs. The central bank said that this is necessary to increase the availability of these notes to the public. Banks and white label ATM operators (WLAOs) will have to implement this directive in a phased manner. ATMs run by non-banking institutions are called ‘white label ATMs’ (WLA). After these instructions, there has been a stir in all the banks of the country. Now all the banks will have to work harder in ATMs to get 100 and 200 rupee notes.

RBI issued a circular

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said in a circular that to increase the public’s access to frequently used denominations, it has been decided that all banks and White Label ATM Operators (WLAOs) will ensure that their ATMs also regularly dispense Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes. According to the circular, by September 30, 2025, 75 percent of ATMs (automated teller machines) should have at least one cassette dispensing Rs 100 or Rs 200 banknotes. Thereafter, by March 31, 2026, 90 percent of ATMs should dispense Rs 100 or Rs 200 banknotes from at least one cassette.
