schools closed: The education department has declared a three-day holiday in all private and government schools in the district. The principals and heads of all schools have been informed by the department.
Deputy Education Officer Dr. Manoj Mittal said that there will be holiday in government and private schools from Saturday to Monday. Sunday is the weekly holiday and Monday is Buddha Purnima.
Private schools do not keep holidays on Saturdays and Buddha Purnima. It is mandatory for all school operators to follow the orders. Action will be taken against those who disobey the orders of the department.
Students awarded for outstanding performance in academic session
A prize distribution ceremony was organized at Scholars Pride School located in Sector-16. The students who performed well in the academic session and sports activities were awarded by the school director Dr. Mahesh Sachdeva, Principal Rachna Juneja and Academic Director Punita Chauhan.
Principal Rachna Juneja said that in the program, the students first gave a cultural presentation. After this, the students were sworn in to perform their duties. School Captain Daksh Dagar, Head Boy Himanshu, Head Girl Anushka Gupta, Secretary Kashvi Gupta.
Apart from this, cultural in-charge Sunidhi, sports in-charge Mohit and discipline in-charge Daksh Jain and students selected from the teams of the four houses were felicitated. Along with studies, the students were inspired to lead a disciplined and dignified life.
