Now you can open an account in Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) online through PNB ONE mobile app. That is, now you do not need to go to the bank to start saving for your daughter’s future, everything will be done on mobile. If you do not have an SSY account in your daughter’s name yet, then this work can be done easily through PNB ONE App. In just a few minutes, you can take advantage of this scheme sitting at home.
What is Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY)?
This is a small saving scheme of the Central Government which is specially designed for the education and marriage expenses of daughters. It gives an attractive interest rate of 8.2%. Along with this, tax exemption is also available under section 80C of the Income Tax Act. The money received on maturity is completely tax free.
Who can open SSY account?
Existing PNB customers whose daughters are less than 10 years old can now open SSY account completely online. This will save time and there will be no hassle of going to the bank.
How to open SSY account from PNB ONE App?
- First of all open PNB ONE app in your mobile and login.
- Go to the menu and select Services option.
- Then click on Govt. Initiative option.
- After this choose Sukanya Samriddhi Account Opening.
- Read the on-screen instructions carefully and fill the form step by step.
All these services will be available together
This facility is currently limited to opening an account only. After the account is opened, if you need any facility like withdrawing money, closing the account or closing it before time, then you will have to go to the bank branch.
