School Holiday in Chhattisgarh : Summer vacation has been announced in Chhattisgarh. The state government has announced summer holidays for schools ahead of time in view of the severe heat and heatwave conditions.
The School Education Department of Chhattisgarh state issued a notice stating that now the school holidays will start from April 25 and will continue till June 15.
Earlier the dates of holidays were from 1 to 15 May
Earlier, summer vacations were scheduled from May 1 to June 15. However, due to the continuous rise in temperature and increasing impact on health, the government has taken this decision. This order will be applicable to government, aided, non-aided and private schools. However, this order will not be applicable to teachers.

Holiday announced earlier due to rising temperatures
State Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai shared the information on social media platform ‘X’ and said that in view of the increasing heat and heat wave conditions in the state, summer vacation has been declared from April 25 to June 15 in all government and non-government schools to protect the health of the students. Children are requested to avoid the scorching sun, drink plenty of water and participate in creative activities at home.
Chhattisgarh Weather
According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in many parts of the state has gone above 40 degrees Celsius. Raipur Meteorological Center said that heatwave conditions may persist in some areas of North and Central Chhattisgarh for the next three days. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Raipur, where the mercury reached 44.4 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the temperature in the districts of Bilaspur, Durg and Raipur divisions is expected to remain between 43 and 45 degrees for the next five days.
