Summer Vacation Extended- The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for extreme heat and has advised people to be careful and take precautions. On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 49.4 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. This is the highest temperature of this season.
According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, apart from Sriganganagar, the temperature of 20 cities of the country has been recorded above 44 degrees. From Jammu and Kashmir to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, the outbreak of terrible heat continues. In view of the latest situation, there has been a demand for extending the summer vacations in schools. Many state governments have started taking decisions in view of the situation.
Government schools in Uttar Pradesh were to open from June 16, but due to the weather, all schools have been ordered to remain closed for the time being. The summer vacations in UP council schools were to end on June 15, meaning that children were to report to their schools from June 16, 2025. Due to the heat wave in UP, it has been decided to close schools for the next 15 days. An order related to this has also been sent to all government schools in UP.
Big news related to UP council schools is coming out. Due to heat wave in Uttar Pradesh, all council schools will now remain closed till June 30, 2025. Education in council schools will start from July 1, 2025. However, teachers, Shiksha Mitra, instructors and non-teaching staff will have to remain present in the school. They have been ordered to attend the school and do academic, administrative and other work as per the prescribed schedule.
UP School Closed: When will schools open in Uttar Pradesh?
The management committee in schools recognized by the Uttar Pradesh government will be authorized to take a decision in this regard. UP Basic Education Council Secretary Surendra Kumar Tiwari has issued orders to the Basic Education Officers of all districts. Earlier, the council had announced summer vacations in schools from May 20 to June 15. According to the old schedule, schools were to open by June 16, 2025 (Monday). But in view of the weather, schools have been ordered to remain closed for the next 15 days.
