The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain for August 5. During this period, there is also a possibility of lightning and strong winds along with thunder. The coming 24 hours are considered to be very sensitive for many districts. Especially in the areas of western and eastern UP, the weather will remain very bad.
People have been advised to stay in safe places. The administration has also kept relief and rescue teams on alert in view of the situation. This fierce form of weather can once again put people’s lives in trouble.
Heavy to very heavy rain warning in many districts
According to the Meteorological Department, clouds are going to knock once again in the western, eastern and central parts of the state. Especially in western UP districts like Meerut, Baghpat, Saharanpur, Shamli, Ghaziabad and Noida, heavy rain is expected. At the same time, Gorakhpur, Basti, Azamgarh, Ballia, Deoria, Varanasi and Ghazipur districts of eastern UP can also witness the havoc of rain.

Not only rain, incidents of lightning may also increase along with strong thunderstorms. The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to avoid standing in the open or under trees during bad weather. Farmers working in the fields and residents of rural areas should be especially cautious.
The rain of the last few days has already increased the difficulties
It is already raining continuously in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, which has led to waterlogging and bad roads. People are facing a lot of problems in big cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Banaras and Jhansi. Now if there is more rain in the next 24 hours, the situation may worsen further.

In view of the warning of heavy rain and lightning, closure of schools is being considered in many districts. The district administration has appealed to the people to avoid unnecessary travel and also not allow children to leave the house. Relief teams have been kept on alert in flood-prone areas.
How long will this fierce form of monsoon last ?
The Meteorological Department says that the monsoon activity will continue for now. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some districts on 6 and 7 August as well. Although the monsoon may weaken a bit after 8 August, but there is no hope of relief at the moment.
