UPI Rule 2025: These rules will apply to all UPI users, whether they are users of Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm. In the months of March and April this year, there were two major incidents of system down, due to which lakhs of users were troubled.
The use of UPI i.e. Unified Payment Interface has increased rapidly in the country. But its rules are going to change on August 1. In such a situation, if you use it then it is important for you to know this news. Actually, after August 1, you will not be able to check your balance more than fifty times in a day through UPI app. This changed rule will be applicable for everyone from merchants to banks and users.
Many rules in lieu of UPI
Auto-pay transactions (such as bill payments, EMIs and subscriptions) on UPI will now be done in fixed slots only. According to reports, this time will be before 10 am or between 1 pm and 5 pm. Apart from this, slots will also be fixed after 9:30 pm. This is being done so that transactions can be done faster and the load on the system will be reduced. If a transaction fails, you can check its status only after three days. For this, there should be a gap of at least 90 seconds every time.
These rules will apply to all UPI users, whether they are users of Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm. This year, in the months of March and April, there were two major incidents of system down, due to which lakhs of users were troubled.
What will be the impact?
Actually, the change in UPI rules is not going to have any effect on the common users. They will continue to make daily bill payments and other payments or transfers as before. As before, they will be able to transact up to one lakh rupees in a day. Also, there is a limit of five lakh rupees for payments related to education or health care. However, it will definitely happen now that after August 1, no UPI user will be able to check the balance more than fifty times a day.
