Vande Bharat Express: Vande Bharat Express will leave Gorakhpur at 6 am and reach Muzaffarpur at 10 am, stopping at Narkatiaganj, Bettiah and Bapudham Motihari. After stopping here for 10 minutes, it will reach Patna at 11 am. On the return journey, it will leave Patna at 2 pm and reach Muzaffarpur at 3 pm.
There is hope that Vande Bharat Express will soon be operational between Patna-Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur, Bettiah. East Central Railway has prepared its proposed route and sent it to Northeast Railway. After getting the no objection certificate from there, the proposed route will be sent to the Railway Board for final approval. After the Railway Board approves, Vande Bharat Express will be operational.
In the proposed route sent to the Northeast Railway, it has been told that Vande Bharat will leave from Gorakhpur for Patna at six in the morning. After opening from Gorakhpur, it will go to Patna via Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur. Between Patna and Gorakhpur, this train will stop at Muzaffarpur, Bapudham Motihari, Bettiah and Narkatiaganj stations. It is known that in the Union Budget 2025-26 itself, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had given the gift of Vande Bharat train to Bihar. This train is one of them. CPRO Saraswati Chandra said that the exercise of Vande Bharat has been started.
Vande Bharat will stop for 10 minutes in Muzaffarpur
Traffic department official said that the distance from Patna to Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur is about 400 km. Vande Bharat will cover this distance in less than five hours. It will leave Gorakhpur at 6 am and reach Muzaffarpur at 10 am, stopping at Narkatiaganj, Bettiah and Bapudham Motihari. After stopping here for 10 minutes, it will reach Patna at 11 am. On the return journey, it will leave Patna at 2 pm and reach Muzaffarpur at 3 pm. After leaving from here, it will reach Gorakhpur at 8 pm.
Will operate six days a week
It is said that Vande Bharat will operate between Gorakhpur-Patna only six days a week. For now, its maintenance will also be done at Gorakhpur Junction.
