The people of the district will have to wait for just three more months to travel by the country’s first semi-speed train Vande Bharat. Vande Bharat will start running directly from Jamalpur to Howrah from the month of October. Approval has been received to extend the Vande Bharat running between Bhagalpur and Howrah to Jamalpur.
The railways have also released a tentative timetable for this. With the running of this train, there will be five trains from Jamalpur to Howrah. Currently, four express trains are running for Howrah.
In fact, Munger MLA Pranav Kumar met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in Delhi and demanded the extension of Bhagalpur-Howrah Vande Bharat to Jamalpur.
The MLA said that due to the presence of Yogashram in Munger, foreigners from 23 countries come here. In such a situation, the extension of this train starting from Jamalpur will be very convenient for the passengers and tourists. The business of the traders here will also increase. After this, the Railway Minister gave the relevant guidelines.
Demand for one more Vande Bharat
The MLA has demanded from the Railway Minister to make the route of the proposed Vande Bharat between Saharsa-Sealdah as Saharsa-Khagaria-Munger-Jamalpur-Abhaypur-Kiul.
