Indian Student Visa Cancellation: The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) has released a report stating that 50 percent of the American students whose visas were cancelled were Indian students. The study was conducted on 327 visa cancellation cases during the Donald Trump administration. It found that India is the most affected country in this case. It is followed by China, where 14 percent of the students’ visas were cancelled.
The report also said that more than half of those whose visas were revoked were students on Optional Practical Training (OPT), meaning they had completed their studies and were working in the US.
The US government has recently sent emails to many foreign students informing them about the cancellation of their visas. In this mail, these students were asked to leave the US. According to reports, 50% of them are Indian students.

The US State Department has been investigating foreign student data for the past four months, and is revoking visas for foreign students who demonstrate against Israel and in support of Hamas.

Warning in email – Leave the country, otherwise you will be detained
This email was sent to students at several universities. The email informed the students that their F-1 visas had been revoked under Section 221(i) of the US Immigration and Nationality Act. Now, if they remain in the US, they could be fined, detained or deported.
The email also states that students may be sent to countries other than their own. Therefore, it is better for students to leave the US on their own.
