Rains on Sunday brought relief from the heat in Delhi-NCR but humidity remained. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is expected today as well. Despite the drop in temperature, people are troubled by the sticky heat.
Monsoon will remain active in North India, due to which there is a possibility of good rain in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Light rain and cloudy weather are expected in Delhi and surrounding areas today. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert, warning of strong winds and lightning.
The maximum temperature may remain around 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 25 degrees Celsius. Here, monsoon is active in entire Uttar Pradesh. There is an alert of heavy rain and lightning in Lucknow and other districts. Today’s temperature is around 33 degrees Celsius in Lucknow, and heavy rain is expected in the next 48 hours. Most parts of the country are expected to receive more than normal rainfall in July.
Monsoon has gained momentum, and northwest India may receive rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds for the next 4-5 days. There is a warning of heavy rain and thunderstorm in Bihar, especially in districts like Darbhanga, Patna, and Gaya. Orange alert has been issued.
