The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted that like the month of July, the havoc of rain may continue in different states of the country in August as well. According to the latest reports of IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in many parts of the country during the next 7 days. A warning has been issued by the IMD and many areas have been put on alert.

The weather condition in North-West India will be like this

Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in North-West India for the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department has forecast that Jammu and Kashmir may receive heavy rains from 4 to 6 August. Along with this, heavy rains with thunder and lightning are expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 6 August. Heavy rains are expected in Punjab between 31 July and 3 to 4 August. On the other hand, heavy rains are expected in Haryana and Chandigarh between 31 July and 2 to 5 August.

Talking about eastern Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of heavy rain here from 2 to 5 August and in western Uttar Pradesh from 3 to 5 August. Apart from this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in western Rajasthan on 31 July and 1 August. Whereas in eastern Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department has predicted very heavy rain with thunderstorms during August 1 and August 3 to 6.

Weather in North-East India

According to the latest report of the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in Assam and Meghalaya on August 2. During this time, there is a possibility of thunderstorms in many areas. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of the western Himalayan region and plains for the next 7 days. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning during this period.

How will the weather be in eastern and central India?

It has been forecast that heavy rains may occur in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from July 31 to August 7. Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand may receive heavy rainfall on July 31 and August 1. Talking about Bihar, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning from July 31 to August 5. Apart from this, heavy rains may occur in Chhattisgarh on August 1 and in Madhya Pradesh from August 4 to 6.

Weather condition in South Peninsular India

The Meteorological Department has said that Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe may receive heavy rains from August 2 to 6. During this period, strong surface winds may blow at a speed of 40-50 km/h in many areas. South Peninsular India is likely to receive rainfall during the next 5 days. At the same time, light to moderate rains are likely at some places in Lakshadweep, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Telangana during the next 7 days.
