The weather has changed in Bihar amid the approach of cold. Clouds are present in most parts of the state, and temperatures are dropping along with the winds. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that due to the influence of Cyclone Montha, which has formed in the Bay of Bengal, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in some districts of South Bihar, North Bihar, and Seemanchal until early November.
According to the Meteorological Department, very heavy rainfall is expected in some areas of East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, and Kishanganj. Waterlogging here could flood roads, flood homes, and damage farmers’ crops. Therefore, people have been advised to exercise extreme caution when venturing outside.

Additionally, heavy rainfall may occur at isolated locations in Purnia, Madhepura, Saharsa, Khagaria, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Gaya, Nawada, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Jamui, Samastipur, Saran, Siwan, and Vaishali.
According to weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, the remnant low pressure area of ​​Cyclone Montha will advance and reach parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, and North Bengal. This system will remain active on October 31st and its effects will be felt until November 1st, 2025. Over the next two days, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in parts of North Chhattisgarh, Northeast Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. However, from November 3rd, the weather will begin to clear and rainfall activity will decrease.
