There is great news for WhatsApp users. If you think that your chats can ever be leaked, then now your worries are going to go away. In fact, WhatsApp has introduced an ‘Advanced Chat Privacy’ feature in its new update, which will make your private conversations even more secure.

After activating this feature, it will not be possible for anyone to export or leak your chats. Let’s know about this feature and how to activate it.

A step ahead of WhatsApp’s end-to-end encryption

WhatsApp already offers end-to-end encryption, which means your chats are kept only by you and the person you’re talking to.

The advantage of this is that it is impossible for any third party to read or access your chats, but there was a small loophole in WhatsApp’s old system. If you were in a group chat, any member had the option to export that chat. This could result in your chats being leaked.

Now WhatsApp has closed this loophole. Now no one can export your chats through the ‘Advanced Chat Privacy’ feature. This means your privacy has now become even stronger.

How does this feature work?

With this new feature, when you are chatting with someone or are part of a group chat, no one can extract your conversation. This will keep all your chats completely safe inside WhatsApp. This means that now no one can send your chats outside nor will any third party have any way to access your chats.

How to activate the feature?

If you also want to make your chats more secure, you can easily activate this feature. Here are the steps:

1. First of all, update WhatsApp by going to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and installing the updated version of WhatsApp.

2. Now open the chat in which you want to activate the ‘Advanced Chat Privacy’ feature.

3. Go to the chat and tap on the person’s name.

4. Then turn on the ‘Advanced Chat Privacy’ option.

That’s it, now your chats will be completely secure.

Things to note:

The ‘Advanced Chat Privacy’ feature still doesn’t prevent screenshots. However, introducing a screenshot-blocking feature for WhatsApp could be the next step.

Additionally, WhatsApp recently launched another cool feature, which allows you to delete a portion of any chat, giving you even better control over your privacy.

This new update of WhatsApp takes the security of your chats to a new height. Now you will not have to fear that your chats will be leaked. With this update, WhatsApp has proven that it is very serious about the privacy of its users. So don’t delay, enable this new feature as soon as possible and make your chats secure!
