From January 1, 2023, the employees are getting dearness allowance at the rate of 42 percent and now it will increase in the month of July. The CPI-IW index for January 2023 has reached 132.8. On the basis of this, dearness allowance is increased. There has been an increase of 1 percent in the numbers coming in July. That is, it has reached 43 percent. After the figures of February, March and other months come, it will be decided how much it will increase.
The figure will be released after 3 days, March 31 means after 3 days the new figure is going to come. In this figure, it will be known how the index is in the month of February. The data will be issued by the Ministry of Labour. Further calculation will be seen on the basis of this number. At present, it is expected that the dearness allowance will be increased on the basis of the index number and this time also it is expected to increase by 3 or 4 percent DA.
