DA Hike: In the month of August, a big relief is being given by the government to the employees. After increasing the dearness allowance by the Chhattisgarh government, now the Maharashtra government has also given good news to the employees. According to the statement given by the Chief Minister’s Office, the Shinde government of Maharashtra has announced to increase the Dearness Allowance of the state government employees by 3 percent.

The decision to increase dearness allowance was taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. The changes made in Dearness Allowance will be applicable from August. According to the information given by the Chief Minister’s Office, after this increase, Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) has now been reduced to 34 percent of the basic pay. The decision taken by the government will benefit 17 lakh employees.

Chhattisgarh government also gave good news Earlier, Chhattisgarh government has also announced to increase dearness allowance by 6 percent, giving good news to the employees of the state. After this decision, the government employees of Chhattisgarh will get 28 percent dearness allowance. This will benefit 3.8 lakh employees. State government employees were taking the benefit of 22 per cent dearness allowance under the 7th Pay Commission and 174 per cent under the sixth pay commission.

The new DA, which came into effect from August 1, 2022, has increased dearness allowance by 6 percent under the 7th Pay Commission and 15 percent under the 6th Pay Commission due to the changes made in the dearness allowance by the government. This increase is effective from 1 August 2022. Earlier on August 15, the Gujarat government had announced an increase in dearness allowance.

The DA of central employees is going to increase soon, on the other hand, central employees are also waiting for the dearness allowance to increase. The dearness allowance to be increased in July for central employees is due. Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of central employees is increased twice a year. The Dearness Allowance for January was announced by the government in March. At that time dearness allowance was increased from 31% to 34%. This time the dearness allowance for July is expected to jump by 4 percent.
