Dearness Allowance Hike can be announced from July 1. However, so far no announcement has been made by the government regarding DA Hike.

The government will increase DA for the first time during the current financial year. According to the April data of AICPI, an increase of 3 to 4 percent dearness allowance in the salary of the employees is almost certain. However, it will also depend on the figures for May and June. If the AICPI figures for May and June are good, then 4 per cent dearness allowance and dearness relief may increase.

How much DA will increase

At present, 42 percent dearness allowance is being given to central employees. If DA is increased further by 4 percent, then the dearness allowance for the employees will be 46 percent. According to media reports, the AICPI figure for April is at 134.2 points and the DA score is at 45.06. The index is likely to reach 46.40 during May and June. This means that a 4 per cent DA hike is almost certain.

How much will the salary of the employees increase?

If the monthly salary of an employee is Rs 18 thousand, then the dearness allowance will be Rs 7560 according to 42% DA. On the other hand, if we look at the DA calculation according to 46 percent, then it will be Rs.8280, which means that every month the salary will increase by Rs.720 and annually it will increase by Rs.99,360.

Basic salary can also increase

In July, apart from the increase in DA, employees can also get the gift of increase in basic salary. There is an estimate of an increase of 8 thousand rupees in the basic salary of central government employees. In such a situation, if the minimum salary of an employee is Rs 18 thousand, then it will increase to Rs 26 thousand.
