7th pay commission: The increase in dearness allowance to government employees working under the central government has been approved. Dearness allowance of central employees is to be increased by 4 percent.

A formal announcement of this decision will be made in the meeting to be held at the end of September. Let us tell you that due to increase in DA, there is going to be a bumper increase in the salary of central employees. 

how much will the salary increase

According to the pay matrix of 7th pay commission, there will be a bumper increase in the salary of officer grade. Here we have tried to calculate the increase in basic salary of a pensioner by Rs 31,550. You can also understand from this how much the salary will increase.

Basic Salary – Rs 31550
Dearness Allowance (estimated) – 38% – Rs 11,989 per month
Existing Dearness Allowance – 34% – Rs 10,727  On increase of
4% Dearness Allowance – Rs 1262 to increase every month
After Rs 15,144 

Calculation at 38%

After increasing the dearness allowance at the rate of 4 percent, the total DA will become 38 percent. If we calculate it in the maximum salary range, then on the basic salary of Rs 56,900, Rs 21,622 will be available as DA every month. The total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 2,59,464.

Employees will get DA arrears 

In the 7th Pay Commission, in the current structure, all central government employees and pensioners are being paid DA and DR at the rate of 34 percent. But, after September, payment will be made at the rate of 38 per cent. Three months dearness allowance will be paid along with the September salary. In this, DA arrears of July and August will also come.
