Jharkhand Government increased DA of employees to 38 percent: Jharkhand cabinet on Monday proposed to increase Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) for pensioners by four percent from July 1 this year.

Has agreed to. An official said this would benefit about two lakh government employees and 1.35 lakh pensioners. The state cabinet meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel informed that the Council of Ministers has approved a proposal to increase the Dearness Allowance payable to state government employees from the existing 34 percent to 38 percent with effect from July 1, 2022.

He said that the cabinet has also decided to increase the dearness relief for pensioners from the existing 34 per cent to 38 per cent. 19 proposals have been approved by the Council of Ministers, including a plan to hold urban local body (ULB) elections without OBC reservation in 2023.

Dadel said that considering the OBC seats as unreserved seats, elections will be held next year. Apart from this, the cabinet also cleared the proposal of sanctioning Rs 9.03 crore for purchase of 21 sports utility vehicles for the judges of Jharkhand High Court.
