Will 8th pay commission come?

The government had made it clear some time ago that no such suggestion is under consideration with the government for the establishment of the 8th Central Pay Commission for the central government employees. This statement came from the government when the news of the Eighth Pay Commission was in the news. Asked whether the government wants to ensure that the Pay Commission for Central Government employees will be set up in a time bound manner so that it can be implemented from January 1, 2026? In response to this question, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said in a statement that the government has no idea for the Eighth Pay Commission.

How will the Central Government employees benefit from the 8th Pay Commission?

If the report is correct and the government establishes the 8th Pay Commission, then the salary of government employees can see a significant increase. According to media reports, the minimum wage of the government may increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 if the proposal of the employees union is approved. The government can increase the fitment factor up to 3.68 times.

Pay commission comes every 10 years

Pay commission for employees is implemented only once in every ten years. The same pattern has been seen in the implementation of the 5th, 6th and 7th pay commissions. It is generally estimated that the 8th Pay Commission will be set up in 2023 and its recommendations may be implemented in 2026.
