The selection process is a two-stage gauntlet, focusing first on physical ability, and then on knowledge. Candidates must score a minimum in both stages to proceed.

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET/PST) — 50 Marks

This is the first stage. Candidates must score at least 50% (25 marks) to be eligible for the Written Exam. This test is crucial for physical fitness and endurance.

  • Duration: 90 minutes.

  • Language: Conducted in the Marathi language.

  • Passing Criteria: Candidates must secure a minimum of 40% (40 marks) to qualify for Document Verification.

Total 100

Here’s the kicker: Candidates for the Police Constable Driver post must also undergo an additional Skill Test/Driver Test after the written exam. Final selection is based on the total cumulative performance across all stages.
