Air India has announced the cancellation of flights to several airports in the country, following a notification from aviation authorities about the closure of these airports.
The affected stations include Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar , Chandigarh and Rajkot, with the cancellations valid till 5:29 am on May 10.
Passengers holding valid tickets for travel during this period will be offered a one-time waiver of rescheduling charges or a full refund in case of cancellation. Amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan after precision strikes on Pakistani terror camps by the Indian Army, Air India and Air India Express airlines on Wednesday cancelled all flights to and from some locations in the country till this afternoon.

The post reads, “Given the current situation, Air India has cancelled all its flights to and from stations such as Jammu, Srinagar, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot till 12 noon on 7th May. The cancellations will remain till further information from the authorities. Two international flights to Amritsar are being diverted to Delhi. We regret the inconvenience caused due to this unexpected disruption.”
The post read, “Due to the current restrictions, a number of flights across our network have been impacted. For alerts and notifications on flights, please ensure your contact details are updated.” Meanwhile, SpiceJet airlines has also issued a flight advisory for airports in northern parts of the country.
