Air India Express has further expanded its network in the Indian subcontinent by announcing direct flights between Bengaluru and Nepal’s capital Kathmandu.
This new international route will start from June 1, 2025, which will further strengthen the cultural and economic ties between India and Nepal.
Bookings are now open for passengers and attractive starting fares are available too — Xpress Lite starting from ₹ 8,000 and Xpress Value starting from ₹ 8,500.

Kathmandu, a historic and spiritual city in the foothills of the Himalayas, is world-renowned for its rich cultural heritage, ancient temples and natural beauty. The Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a sacred destination for spiritual travelers, while for adventure lovers it is the starting point for the Everest trek. Travelers can also visit nearby major sites such as Pokhara, Lumbini (the birthplace of Lord Buddha) and the medieval streets of Bhaktapur.

Along with the flight from Bengaluru to Kathmandu, passengers will also get one stop connectivity to 20 major cities in India, including, Amritsar, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi, Goa, Gwalior, Hindon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Jaipur, Kozhikode, Kochi, Mangaluru, Pune, Srinagar, Surat, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and two international cities Abu Dhabi and Dammam.
