Air India Flights Cancels: After the plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, Air India planes are facing continuous technical problems. The cancellation of flights of Tata Group-led Air India continues today (June 20).

Air India canceled its 8 domestic and international flights on Friday (June 20) due to various reasons including maintenance and technical problems. The airline said in a statement that flights have been canceled due to maintenance work and operational reasons.

According to a statement from Tata’s airline, four international flights and the same number of domestic flights have been cancelled. Air India’s decision will affect flights from Dubai, Delhi, Melbourne, Hyderabad and other cities.

Flights to these cities canceled

The cancelled Air India international flights include AI906 from Dubai to Chennai, AI308 from Delhi to Melbourne, AI309 from Melbourne to Delhi and AI2204 from Dubai to Hyderabad. While the affected domestic flights include AI874 from Pune to Delhi, AI456 from Ahmedabad to Delhi, AI-2872 from Hyderabad to Mumbai and AI571 from Chennai to Mumbai.

Air India said on Thursday that the airline will cut 38 international flights every week between June 21 and July 15, while services on three foreign routes will remain suspended. The Tata Group-owned airline, which has been facing disruptions after the deadly plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, said the reduction in flights on 18 international routes is aimed at restoring schedule stability and reducing last-minute inconvenience to passengers.

The airline company had said a day earlier that it would temporarily reduce flights operated by large passenger aircraft by 15 per cent. According to PTI, Air India said in a statement, “This reduction will be effective from June 21, 2025, and will last at least till July 15, 2025.”

Flights on local and international routes cancelled

– Flight services on Delhi-Nairobi, Amritsar-London (Gatwick) and Goa (Mopa)-London (Gatwick) will remain suspended till July 15.

– According to the airline company, there are four flights per week on the Delhi-Nairobi route. While there are three flights per week on the Amritsar-London (Gatwick) and Goa (Mopa)-London (Gatwick) routes.

– In addition, the number of flights will be reduced on 18 international routes connecting cities in North America, Europe, Australia and the Far East.

– On the other hand, the routes in North America on which the number of flights will be reduced include Delhi-Toronto, Delhi-Vancouver, Delhi-San Francisco, Delhi-Chicago and Delhi-Washington.
