India’s largest airline company Air India is going to do a big expansion soon. Air India is preparing to start a new air travel service on domestic and international routes.

Tata Group’s Air India has prepared a plan to increase the number of flights by March 2024. Under this plan, flight services will not be started on international routes. These routes will be in Europe, North America, South East Asia.

Air India is going to start international flights to four new cities Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, Boston and Los Angeles this winter. This has been possible because the airline is able to deliver aircraft on regular time. According to the news of Financial Express, the airline is going to include these four cities in the list of about 40 international destinations in its network.

Winter program also released

Aviation company Air India has announced to introduce more than 30 new aircraft in the coming six months. With the arrival of new aircraft, 400 new weekly flights will also be added. With the addition of new flights, flights to four new destinations can be started. A statement has been issued by Air India in this regard. 

In the statement, Air India said that as part of the winter programme, it intends to add more than 400 weekly flights to its domestic and international network by March 2024. This year’s winter schedule is effective from October 29 to March 30 next year. 

When will booking start

According to the news, bookings for Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City are scheduled to begin in December, while flights to Boston and Los Angeles may begin as early as 2024. Phuket and Ho Chi Minh City services will be operated on narrow-body aircraft, while flights to Boston and LA are to be operated on leased Boeing 777s and Airbus A350s. Air India is considering additional flights frequency to Australia and Europe.

The airline hopes to get five aircraft

The airline expects to add more than 30 wide-body and narrow-body aircraft to its fleet by March 2024, including A350s, B777s and A320neos. Sources say the airline is expected to get five Boeing 777, six Airbus A350 and 20 A320 aircraft. Apart from this, Air India is planning to increase the frequency of flights to Australia on Delhi-Sydney and Mumbai-Melbourne routes.

Passengers please pay attention

Air India has shared an important information for domestic passengers. The airline has said that from November 15, 2023, all domestic Air India flights to and from Chennai will operate from Terminal 4. Also, all the international flights of Air India to and from Chennai will remain unaffected and will continue to operate as usual.
