Due to many festivals in the month of April, banks across the country will remain closed for 15 days. Some of these holidays will be in the whole country, while some will remain in different states and cities.

Now from today i.e. Friday (April 7) to Sunday, banks across the country will remain closed for a long weekend. Please tell that in India, there is no work in banks on second and fourth Saturdays and every Sunday.

Due to Good Friday on 7th April, banks will remain closed everywhere except some cities in the country. Banks will be open only in Agartala, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Shimla and Srinagar on 7th April. At the same time, due to the second Saturday on 8 April and Sunday on 9 April, banks will remain closed across the country.

Banks will remain closed on these dates in April

Banking services will be affected due to various reasons including many festivals this month. There will be a holiday in all banks on 16, 23, 30 April 2023 on Sundays. On 14th April 2023 on account of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Bohag Bihu, Chiraoba, Vaisakhi, Tamil New Year Day, Maha Bisubha Sankranti, Biju Festival and Buisu Festival except cities like Aizawl, Bhopal, Raipur, Shimla, Shillong, New Delhi etc.

There will be a holiday in banks at all other places in the country. On the other hand, on April 15, banks will remain closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla and Thiruvananthapuram due to Vishu, Bohag Bihu, Himachal Day, Bengali New Year.

Banks of these cities will be closed on Eid

Let us tell you that on April 18, banks will remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Shab-e-Kadra. On the other hand, on April 21, due to Eid-ul-Fitr, there will be a holiday in the banks of Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar and Thiruvananthapuram. Similarly, on April 22, banks across the country will remain closed except Agartala, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Gangtok, Shimla, Aizawl, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram etc. due to Eid.

due to the beginning of the new business year in April, the work in the banks increases considerably. During this time banks are very busy in settling the work of last year and opening new accounts. At the same time, due to so many holidays, many of your work related to banking may get stuck. In such a situation, if you want to use banking service on a holiday, then you can do transactions through internet with the help of netbanking service and ATM machine.
