Bank Holiday: According to the holiday calendar of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) , banks will be closed for six days from tomorrow in some cities due to various festivals. These holidays have been declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

If you have any important work related to the bank then it will have to be postponed. Bank holidays are different for each state, however, there are some days when banks are closed across India.

Bank holidays list

August 11: Raksha Bandhan

Banks will remain closed in Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Dehradun, Jaipur and Shimla due to Raksha Bandhan.

12 August: Raksha Bandhan

This year, the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on two days – August 11 and August 12. Banks in Kanpur and Lucknow will remain closed on August 12 on the occasion of Rakhi.

14 August: Sunday

All banks are closed on Sundays and second and last Saturdays.

Banks across the country will remain closed on August 15, Independence Day.

16 August: Parsi New Year (Shahenshahi)

Banks will remain closed in Belapur, Mumbai and Nagpur on Parsi New Year.

Banks will remain open on August 17. Banks will remain closed on Janmashtami on 18th and 19th August
