As per RBI guidelines, all banks will remain closed on all Sundays as well as on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Apart from this, banks do not work on some public holidays as well. Below is the list of bank holidays in March 2023.
Under the Negotiable Instruments Act 1881, State Governments, Central Government and Union Territories make a list of bank holidays. In India, there is a national holiday and a government holiday on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. That’s why banks remain closed on those days.
Sundays are falling on 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th in the month of March. Due to being a weekly holiday on this day, banks will remain closed all over the country. Apart from this, there will be no work in banks even on the festival of Holi.
