If you are planning to go to the bank next week, then first know whether the bank will be open? In fact, in the coming week, there are continuous bank holidays across the country. Even in many states, bank holidays may fall for two consecutive weeks. Next week on 9th April is Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Telugu New Year in all nationalized banks including State Bank of India (SBI).

Banks will remain closed on this occasion. Bohag Bihu and Eid will be celebrated across the country on April 10, so there will be bank holidays. There are continuous holidays for Eid on 11th April. 13th April is the second Saturday of the week and 14th April is falling on Sunday.

Apart from this, Bohag Bihu and Ram Navami are falling in some states on 15th and 16th April. There are also bank holidays on this day. Customers are advised to check with their nearest bank branches to confirm local and state holidays to avoid any confusion and inconvenience.

Overall, banks in different states of India will remain closed for 12 days in April 2024. These include reasons like public holidays, regional holidays, Saturday and Sunday. According to the calendar of the Reserve Bank of India, there may be holidays on different days in every state. The calendar of holidays is decided by RBI and the respective state governments. Regional holidays of banks vary depending on the local customs of different states.

5 April: Birthday of Babu Jagjivan Ram/Jumaat-ul-Vida (Banks will remain closed in Telangana and Jammu).

April 9: Banks in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Goa, Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed due to Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/Telugu New Year Day/Sajibu Nongmapanaba (Cheiraoba)/First Navratri.

April 10: Banks to remain closed in Tripura, Assam, Manipur, Jammu and Srinagar due to Bohag Bihu/Cheiraoba/Baisakhi/Biju festivals

April 15: On this day, banks will remain closed for offline work for customers in Assam and Himachal Pradesh due to Bohag Bihu and Himachal Day.

April 16: Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh on the occasion of Ram Navami.

April 20: Bank branches will remain closed in Tripura for Garia Puja festival.

Online banking facilities and ATM will continue
