Bank of Baroda, one of the largest government banks of the country, has given special information to its pensioners regarding submission of life certificate. The bank said on social media platform X that now pensioners can easily submit life certificate.

The bank said that with the introduction of Face Authentication, submitting the life certificate has become easier. Now there is no need to go to the bank or use external devices. The bank told that if you are submitting life certificate through face authentication, then what are the things you need to keep in mind.

Keep these things in mind

First of all, your Android smartphone must have version 7.0 or above. You also have to take care of your internet connection.
Your Aadhaar number must be registered with the Pension Disbursing Authority, Bank or Post Office.

Also, the resolution of your pension should be 5 megapixels or more.

For this, it is necessary to download Aadhaar Face RD app in your phone, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store.

It should also be kept in mind that the phone’s camera and notifications should be enabled.
Apart from this, it is necessary to download ‘Jeevan Certificate’ App from Google Play Store in your phone, whose version should be 3.6.3

Step-1 : You have to go to Operator Authentication in Jeevan Pramaan App, where you have to fill Aadhaar, mobile number and email ID. After this you will have to enter OTP. After this you will have to click on scan for face authentication. You will have to blink your eyes. After this, click on the check box and go to Proceed.


Step-2: After this, pensioner has to go to authentication and enter OTP after submitting Aadhaar, mobile number and email (optional). After this the name will have to be filled as per Aadhaar. After this, type of pension, sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, bank account number and PPO number will have to be entered.

What is life certificate?

Pensioners whose age is 80 years or more can now submit their life certificate from October 1. Life certificate is submitted every year so that the banks are aware whether the pensioner is alive or not. The process for senior citizens aged between 60 to 80 years will start from November 1, 2023.
