DA Hike: Employees of this state will get 50 percent DA, increased by 4 percent

Jharkhand government has increased the DA of state government employees by 4 percent. The government approved 30 proposals in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday.

Jharkhand government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of state government employees to 50 percent of the basic salary. Till now it was 46 percent. An official said on Tuesday that the increase in dearness allowance will be effective from January 1 this year. In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Champai Soren, the proposal to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners was approved.

Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel said, “Dearness allowance and dearness relief have been increased by four percent to 50 percent.” This increase will benefit 1.90 lakh employees and pensioners of the state. If the pensioner is no longer in this world, then DR will be given to his/her family members.

Approval given to 30 decisions:

Jharkhand government approved 30 proposals in the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, one of which was increase in DA. Since the increase in DA will be considered effective from January 1, employees will also be given arrears of 3 months. Apart from this, Panchayat Secretariat volunteers will be hired on contract basis in the help desks being opened at the village level. For this, Rs 2500 per month will be paid.

Other decisions:

Estimate of house rent allowance of government employees has been approved. Permission was given to release funds for the construction of Jharkhand Bhawan in New Delhi. 11 pilgrimage sites in the state and 30 pilgrimage sites across the country will be included in the scheme for providing pilgrimage to the people of Jharkhand belonging to BPL category. Apart from this, many other decisions have been taken in the meeting.
