On September 28, the central government will announce this for its employees in the cabinet meeting. Its notification will also be issued on the same evening. According to the information received so far, this announcement for the central employees will be made in the meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

38 percent DA gift will be available in the festive season

There will be an increase in dearness allowance of central employees taking salary under the 7th Pay Commission. This increase will be considered effective from 1 July 2022. On its announcement, the DA of the employees will reach 38 percent. With the beginning of Navratri, the festivals have started.

The employees are going to get the gift of dearness allowance as soon as it starts. After the formal announcement on September 28, along with the salary of September, its payment will also start. Central employees will also get arrears of two months. These arrears will be for the months of July and August.

Increase in dearness allowance as decided by AICPI-IW index

The data of AICPI-IW (All India Consumer Price Index- Industrial Worker) released every month shows the inflation situation for industrial workers. With the increase in the index, the possibilities of increase in dearness allowance also increase. The index stood at 129.2 as of June 2022.

For the increase in July 2022, the data for the first six months i.e. from January to June is seen. On reaching 129.2, it is confirmed that there will be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance. The government looks at this index as a scale for deciding the Dearness Allowance of the employees. Had the index remained below 129 points, the DA would have increased by 3 per cent.

When will the money of 38% DA come?

Harishankar Tiwari, experts who decode dearness allowance and index, claims that there will be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance. More than one crore central employees and pensioners will get its direct benefit in the form of dearness relief. After increasing the dearness allowance by 4 percent, the total dearness allowance of the central employees will be 38 percent. Let us tell you, after reaching 50 percent DA, there is bound to be revision in HRA too.

How much will the salary increase according to the pay grade?

The minimum basic salary in 7th Pay Commission is Rs 18,000 and at the level of Cabinet Secretary is Rs 56,900. According to 38 percent, the total increase in annual DA on the basic salary of Rs 18,000 will be Rs 6840. 720 will increase in a month. At the maximum basic salary bracket of Rs 56,900, the total increase in annual dearness allowance will be Rs 27,312. At the same time, a total of 2276 rupees will increase from this in the month.
