How much DA increased

Whereas, for the salary between Rs 3,501 to Rs 6,500, the DA rate will be 526.4 per cent of the salary, subject to a minimum of Rs 24,567. Further, for the salary between Rs 6,501 to Rs 9,500, the DA rate will be 421.1 per cent of the salary, subject to a minimum of Rs 34,216.

It has been said by the department that if there is a part of 50 paise or more in the payment of dearness allowance, then it will be added to the next one rupee. While the part less than 50 paise will be ignored.

The department said that the installment of DA becomes payable from January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 every year on the basis of price increase above Quarterly Index Average 1099 (1960 = 100). It states that the average AICPI (1960=100) for the quarter from March 2023 to May 2023 is 8813. Which is a 701.9 percent increase on the link point.

The department also said that from July 1, 2023, the quantum of IDA payable on the old system of neutralization at the rate of Rs 2.00 per point shift will increase by 96 points to Rs 192 and on AICPI 8813, DA can be Rs 16215.75. He also said that all the Administrative Ministries and Departments of the Government of India are requested to bring this to the notice of the CPSE officers under their administrative control for necessary action at their level.
