DA Salary Increased: Employees will soon get the benefit of increase in dearness allowance, report submitted to the board

There is good news for the daily wage earners working in various departments of Jammu and Kashmir. The advisory board has submitted its report regarding the salary, now the government will take appropriate action on it. In this, 38 percent dearness allowance has been recommended. There is a possibility that its benefit can be given in October.

In fact, the advisory board constituted to resolve the salary and other issues of about 1 lakh daily wage earners working in various government departments under the state government has submitted its report.

It has recommended 38 percent dearness allowance and said that the salary should be given by including the existing dearness allowance rate along with the minimum wage notified on the basis of SRO-315 issued in June. Labor and Employment Department in consultation with Finance Department while also preparing a separate report on the implementation of the report.

According to media reports, along with this report, Rs 311 per day for skilled workers, Rs 400 per day for semi-skilled, Rs 483 per day for skilled, Rs 552 per day for highly skilled and administrative and ministerial daily wage earners. 449 per day salary has been recommended for this. Keeping in view the weekly holidays and other holidays, the state government can take a final decision regarding the related increment.

Let us inform that in the past, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had said that the demand of daily wage earners is justified. Our government is not denying them, but we have constituted a committee for their practical solution. It will be resolved by October till the report comes. At present, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is on a foreign trip.
