DA Hike: If you are a central employee or there is a central government employee in your family, then this news will make you happy. The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), under the Ministry of Finance, has revised the DA of CPSE officers holding Board level posts or below and non-unionised supervisors following the IDA pattern of 1992 pay scales. In an office memorandum, the Department of Public Enterprises has talked about making changes in the DA of such employees.

New rates will be applicable from 1 July 2023

The revised rates of DA will be applicable from July 1, 2023. For basic pay up to Rs 3,500 per month, DA will be 701.9 per cent of pay with effect from July 1, 2023, subject to a minimum of Rs 15,428. Employees with basic pay between Rs 3,501 to Rs 6,500 per month will get DA minimum of Rs 24,567 and 526.4 percent of salary from July 1, 2023. The DA of employees with basic pay between Rs 6,500 and up to Rs 9,500 will be 421.1 per cent and the minimum will be Rs 34,216.

DA will be revised every three months.

It was said by the DA department that on the basis of price increase more than Quarterly Index Average 1099 (1960 = 100), DA installments would become payable from January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1 every year. All Administrative Ministries/Departments of Government of India have been asked to bring the above to the notice of the CPSEs under their administrative control for necessary action at their end.

Revised Rates of DA The new DA scheme has been mentioned in Annexure-III of DPE’s OM dated 25.06.1999 in the Office Memorandum. It depicts the rates of DA payable to Board level and below Board level officers of CPSEs and non-unionized supervisors. For CPSE officers and non-unionized supervisors, the rate of DA payable from 1 July 2023 is 416 percent.
