The state government has increased the dearness allowance by 12 percent for the salary earners from the sixth pay scale. Now they will get 201 percent dearness allowance instead of 189 percent dearness allowance.

If you are an employee of Chhattisgarh state then this news is very important for you. Because the Chhattisgarh government has given a big gift of 5 percent DA (Dearness Allowance) increase to all the officers and employees of the state before Diwali. 

On the instructions of the Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Finance Department Bhupesh Baghel, the Finance Department has issued an order to increase the DA. The increased rate of DA will be effective from the current month of October. The amount of the increased inflation rate will be paid in cash from October 1, 2022. 

After the increase of five percent in DA, those who get salary from the seventh pay scale in the state will get 33 percent dearness allowance. This order of increase in dearness allowance will also be applicable for UGC, AICTE and contingency salary employees. At the same time, the Employees Association of Chhattisgarh State has expressed happiness over this decision of the government.

The Finance Department has issued a circular regarding the increase in dearness allowance to all the departments of the state government, Chairman, Revenue Board, Bilaspur, all the Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Collectors. It is noteworthy that from August-2022, DA was being paid at the rate of 28 percent to the officers and employees of the state. At the same time, those in the sixth pay scale were being given dearness allowance at the rate of 189 percent.

Let us tell you that recently, a few days ago, lakhs of employees of Chhattisgarh were sitting on a dharna in the capital Raipur for a long time demanding to increase DA. The government had increased the dearness allowance of employees from 22 to 28 percent, but there was a demand of the employees that their DA should be made equal to 6 percent of the central employees. On this, the state government had sought time till Diwali and state festival.

There will be an increase in the assistance amount of ex-servicemen

The 14th meeting of the State Management Committee of Sainik Welfare Board Chhattisgarh was held at Raj Bhavan. In the meeting, 11 set agendas were discussed in detail and important decisions were taken in the interest of ex-servicemen. Approval was also given to increase the amount and honors given to the ex-servicemen.

Other schemes for their welfare were also discussed in the meeting held in the conference hall of Raj Bhavan under the chairmanship of Governor Anusuiya Uikey. The assistance of World War II pensioners has also been increased to Rs 10,000 per month.
