DA is increased in January and July
Let us tell you that DA and DR are increased twice a year in January and July. Last time in September, 48 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners got its benefit. At present, the dearness allowance of central employees is 38 percent. Now it is expected to be 42 percent with an increase of 4 percent in January. In March last year, the government had increased DA by 3 percent.
The way for 4 percent DA hike is clear due to continuous increase in Aicpi Index. In October 2022, it has increased to 132.5 percent. There will be an increase in DA in March on the basis of Aicpi Index figures of November and December.
