After increasing the dearness allowance of the Modi government at the Center by 4 percent, the Rajasthan government has given good news to its employees. After the central government, the Rajasthan government has increased the DA to the employees. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave this information by tweeting.

Gehlot tweeted and said, “In line with the central government employees, the rate of dearness allowance of state employees and dearness relief payable to pensioners has been approved by 4 percent. Now 38 percent dearness allowance and dearness relief rate will be payable to state employees and pensioners from July 1, 2022.

The expenditure of the state government will increase by Rs 1,096 crore.

Chief Minister Gehlot tweeted that the central government makes the announcement first but it is implemented after a long time while our government also distributes the increased amount with the announcement without delay. This decision of the state government will cost the Rajasthan government an additional cost of Rs 1,096 crore.

The new rate will be deemed to be applicable from July 1, 2022. This decision of the state government will benefit about 1.5 lakh employees and 3.5 lakh pensioners.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday (29 September) the central government had approved to increase the dearness allowance by 4 percent. This is the highest in the last dozen quarters. Earlier, the average DA has been increased only by 3 percent, but this time in view of the impact of inflation, the government has opened its treasury. Now 50 lakh central employees and 62 lakh pensioners will get DA of 38 percent. The increased amount of DA will be valid from July this year and the arrears of the previous months will also be given to the employees.
