An important decision has been taken by the state government for women employees. Under this, they will be given the benefit of leave. With the approval of the proposal by the state government, thousands of employees will benefit from it. The proposal has been agreed to by the Finance Minister.
Will get the benefit of 180 days leave
Major preparations have been made by the Uttarakhand government. Under this, the benefit of maternity leave will now be given to daily wage female employees as well as outsourced female employees. This decision of the government will provide important benefits to the daily wage employees.
Maternity leave will also be provided to women employees posted on daily wages through departmental and outsourced means. They will be able to get leave for 6 months. Not only this, the salary for this period will also be paid to the employer, in such a situation the maternity period will be considered to be 180 days.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given instructions for this to the Finance Department. Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar has also issued orders on Monday. Till now, the benefit of maternity leave was not being given to the women employees posted on daily wages through departmental and outsourced means of government departments.
Thousands of women employees will benefit
This was being demanded by women employees for a long time. After considering which, now important benefits have been given to them by the Dhami government. Thousands of women employees will benefit from this. The same departmental daily wage women employees appointed i.e. department and outsourced women employees will be given the benefit of maternity leave by the service providing organization.
Salary during maternity leave will also be paid by the appointee as per the procedure . Regarding granting of maternity leave, compliance with the provisions of the mentioned Act will be ensured just like the appointing and service providing institution.
Earlier an important decision was taken by the Uttarakhand government. Under which the government had decided to provide child adoption leave and child care leave to male and female employees recruited through contract and outsourced means. The proposal was approved in the cabinet meeting.
