7th Pay Commission: The central government is preparing to give great news to more than one crore government employees and pensioners. The government can increase the Dearness Allowance (DA) and DR received by pensioners. It is being said that there may be an increase in DA by up to 4 percent.

Big news has come out for central employees. Central employees and pensioners can get three gifts together in the new year. The new year includes increase in DA of employees, increase in fitment factor and payment of arrears of DA.

Overall, in the year 2023, government employees and pensioners will get triple bonanza together. According to the reports, by March 2023, the DA of central government employees can be increased by up to 4 percent. Let us inform that the Center had increased the DA in September 2022. Due to which about 48 lakh central government employees and 68 lakh pensioners were benefited.

The government had announced a 4 per cent hike in DA. After this the total Dearness Allowance (DA) reached 38 per cent. Before the September hike, central government employees were getting 34 per cent DA. Which was increased by 3 percent in March 2022.

DA may increase by up to 4 percent

The way the graph of inflation is increasing. It seems that the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of central employees can be increased by up to 4 percent in the new year. Actually, the dearness allowance of central employees is reviewed every 6 months. Dearness allowance is hiked twice a year on the basis of AICPI data.

One hike takes place in January and the other in July. Like every year, there may be an increase in the DA of central employees in the year 2023 as well. DA for January 2023 is usually announced before Holi. If there is a 4 percent increase in DA, it will increase from 38 percent to 42 percent.

Decision can be taken on DA dues of 18 months

The issue of 18 months DA arrears of central employees is still pending. It is expected to resolve it in early 2023. Please tell that the DA of the last 18 months from January 2020 to June 2021 is still pending.
